Our Task:
Our secure system enables drivers to receive immediate warning of potential hazards through visual display or audio tone. These are only warnings; the driver remains in control of the vehicle at all times. Warnings can help drivers respond quickly to avoid potential crashes, for example, the traffic congestion application warns drivers whether it’s unsafe to drive a specific road/route. The electronic emergency brake light application notifies the driver when an out-of-sight vehicle, even one several cars ahead, is breaking. Connected vehicles help with weather-related traffic and safety issues too. This comes into play as new conditions develop such as fog or black-ice, where the weather may not appear to be dangerous but visibility is limited and the roads are slippery. Information collected by multiple vehicles allows warning drivers with dynamic messages prior to incidents occurring.
